Spine Search is partnering with a large healthcare system in New York City to recruit experienced CT Technologists. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced, patient-centered environment within a well-established organization.
Position OverviewThe CT Technologist is responsible for performing high-quality computed tomography scans to support accurate diagnosis and treatment, while ensuring patient safety and comfort in accordance with established protocols.
Responsibilities- Welcome and assist patients throughout their visit, including escorting them to exam rooms, helping with positioning, and preparing them for procedures. Verify patient identity, review medical history, and confirm exam orders prior to imaging.
- Conduct CT scans following physician orders, adjusting technical factors as needed to produce clear and accurate images. Communicate effectively with patients by explaining procedures and addressing any questions or concerns during the exam.
- Administer contrast media in accordance with scope of practice and departmental guidelines. Ensure proper documentation, processing, and storage of all imaging studies.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sterile work environment, adhering to all infection control and patient safety standards. Monitor patients throughout procedures to ensure their well-being.
- Provide support and guidance to team members, including training on equipment and departmental procedures. Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and coordinate service when necessary. Perform routine equipment checks and preventive maintenance.
- Track and maintain adequate inventory levels of supplies and assist with ordering as needed.
- High School Diploma required.
- Completion of an accredited radiography program required.
- Minimum of 2 years of CT experience preferred.
- Active and unrestricted New York State Radiologic Technologist license required.
- ARRT (CT) certification required.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association required.
- IV contrast certification in New York State, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire, required.
Ability to stand for extended periods and assist with lifting or positioning patients and equipment as needed.
