Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Manager

A leading steel fabrication company is seeking an experienced EHS Manager to oversee safety and environmental compliance across operations. This hands‑on leadership role focuses on building a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and driving continuous improvement.

• Design, implement, and continuously enhance environmental health and safety (EHS) compliance programs
• Lead behavior‑based safety initiatives while promoting a strong, safety‑first workplace culture
• Conduct facility safety audits and oversee corrective action tracking and closure
• Investigate incidents and near misses, identifying root causes and implementing preventive solutions
• Deliver engaging safety training programs for employees and contractors
• Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
• Prepare, manage, and maintain required safety documentation and reports
• Act as the primary point of contact for OSHA visits and insurance inspections

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Safety & Health, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience), plus a minimum of 5 years of safety leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• In-depth understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and relevant state and local compliance requirements
• Demonstrated success in performing safety audits, leading incident investigations, and driving corrective and preventive actions
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with exceptional attention to detail
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ERP or company management systems
• Professional safety certifications strongly preferred, including ASP or CSP, OSHA 500 or 30‑Hour, and First Aid/CPR/AED
