Position Summary

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Pharmacist – evenings/overnights.

• Performs other miscellaneous related duties as required.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the organization's Core Values and incorporates them into the performance of duties.
• Responsible for medication dispensation according to NYU Langone Health policies and NYS Pharmacy Laws.
• Maintains pharmacy records according to NYU Langone Health policies and NYS Pharmacy Laws.
• Provides drug information and consultation to patients and health care providers according to NYU Langone Health policies and NYS Pharmacy Laws.
• Maintains a current understanding and applies onsite pharmacy technology.
• Provides vaccinations to patients according to NYU Langone Health policies and NYS Pharmacy Laws.
• Provides direct oversight of pharmacy technician maintaining NYU Langone Health standards of quality.
• Assists management with waste fraud and abuse according to NYU Langone Health policies and Federal Law.
• Participates in monthly inventory through Veriform assignment.
• Participates in projects and activities to maintain professional competence (seminars, journals, 15 hours of continuing education credit per year required by NYS).
• Maintains a professional attitude when answering telephones, addressing patients and providing drug information.
• Documents clinical interventions.
• Completes annual competency assessments.
• Provides guidance to pharmacy students when required.

Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, New York State Pharmacy License, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

Pharmacist License – NYS.

5 years of experience in a busy retail pharmacy, experience providing immunizations to greater than 200 patients, and PGY‑1 Ambulatory training.

The salary range for the role is $ – $ annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
