Eyepic is a private practice that brings ophthalmology, optometry, and opticianry under one roof. With multiple locations serving the boroughs of NYC, we are looking to hire a full time Ophthalmic Technician.

Job details
  • Perform all ancillary testing including but not limited to:
    Autorefraction, Corneal Topography, Endothelial Cell Count, Visual Field, Wide Field Fundus Photography, OCT both anterior and posterior, B-Scan, Maculogix, and Allergy Testing.
  • Working knowledge of EMR systems, specifically Eyefinity, but training will be provided.
  • Aid in patient flow, when needed to also assist front staff members in checking in patients.
  • Be comfortable in training patients on how to put in and take out contact lenses.
  • Maintain a stocked selection of contact lens trials, ophthalmic drops and any supplies needed by the Doctor.
  • Schedule bi-annual maintenance of all medical devices.
  • Have a working knowledge of insurance benefits and coverage.
Qualifications
  • Be a certified technician OR have had sufficient experience as an Ophthalmic Technician.
  • MUST BE fluent in English and can speak Spanish.
  • Detail-oriented, can work in a high pace environment multitasking patients' needs and job requirements.
  • Knowledge of ancillary testing equipment and common conditions of the eye.

Job Type: Full-time. Available on Saturdays
