! This role is in office at Brooklyn, NY
(11219) with a four-day schedule (10 hours shifts), Mondays – Fridays.
The pay range for the Physician Assistant position is $ - $ per year
SummaryThe Physician Assistant responsibilities include assessing the patients’ medical history and HPI, addressing patients concerns regarding the use of telemedicine services and to provide personalized care to each patient.
Physician AssistantJob Duties and Responsibilities
- Discussing and reviewing patients' medical history, symptoms, allergies, and current medications
- Asking patients situation-specific questions to make sure they get the care they need
- Formulating suitable treatment plans to address non-threatening conditions
- Prescribing various diagnostic tests to aid in providing accurate diagnoses
- Analyzing diagnostic test results and explaining them to patients
- Maintaining accurate records of patient s contact details, medical history, prescribed medications, allergies, diagnoses, and progress
- Advising patients on suitable diets and exercise regimens to improve their overall health.
- Assisting patients in managing chronic health conditions
- Recording accurate and timely notes in EMR
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation by completing all required forms and records before the end of each shift, in alignment with organizational standards and compliance guidelines
- Active NY Medicaid and Medicare # (Can start immediately)
- EMR experience
- Licensed Physician Assistant in NY
- At least 1 year experience in an urgent care setting or relevant experience treating diverse patient population in a primary care setting (Required)
- A patient oriented / compassionate disposition
- Strong attention to detail
- The ability to consult with patients through virtual communication channels
