As the largest and busiest Microbiology department in New York, we set the standards for our field. Our technologists perform a wide array of testing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment, providing opportunities to advance expertise.
Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate the activities of laboratory personnel in the performance of quantitative and qualitative tests.
- Train and guide laboratory technologists; participate in problem-solving processes and uphold quality assurance and quality control standards.
- Perform technical responsibilities typical of a Senior Laboratory Technologist in Microbiology.
This is a full-time day shift position, 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday, including rotating weekends/holidays, located at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Preferred Criteria- 6 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist
- ASCP certification
- A minimum of two years experience in Microbiology
- Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology (or equivalent experience)
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist licensure from the New York Education Department
