Lead Medical Science Liaison, Molecular Imaging (Northeast)
The Lead Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is responsible for providing scientific and objective medical information to healthcare providers and researchers in the therapeutic areas of interest to Molecular Imaging within Bayer Radiology. The MSL develops and executes clinical/medical education strategies, delivers training in person, virtual, and hybrid formats, supports safe and effective use of Bayer products, collaborates with internal partners, and represents the company at scientific conferences.
Key Responsibilities- Complete core training curriculum and MSL certification; participate in therapeutic area updates and journal clubs.
- Attend medical conferences, review literature, and maintain self‑paced reading of current publications.
- Fulfill medical licensure requirements, complete recertification and advanced certifications where applicable.
- Present to external audiences, respond in a timely, accurate, and balanced manner to professional information requests (PIR) in collaboration with Medical Communications.
- Adhere to SOP and FDA guidance for distribution of scientific information and all external contact compliance.
- Prepare and present data to internal audiences, including Medical Affairs and Commercial partners, and provide inputs for developing materials.
- Select and validate Thought Leaders, maintain routine contacts, support speaker training, coordinate advisory boards and workshops, and lead national/international engagements.
- Identify customer medical and clinical needs, differentiate Bayer products, adapt protocols, align internal stakeholders, drive customer satisfaction, report competitive activity, and assist in planning medical field force initiatives.
- Identify account and hospital influence levels for commercial segmentation and drive scientific discussions on patient needs and data gaps.
- Minimum a Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 2 years of industry experience.
- Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of FDA and OIG requirements.
- Valid driver’s license and eligibility to drive a company vehicle.
- Advanced degree (M.D., Ph.D.,
D. Pharm) in Pharmacology, Medicine, Physics, Chemistry, or related field. - Background in cardiology or molecular imaging.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Medical Science Liaison (MSL).
Salary range: $168,500 to $252,800. Additional compensation may include bonuses or commissions. Benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc.
