OBJECTIVES

Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Speech Language Pathologist provides speech therapy services in accordance with each child’s Individualized Education Program (IEP) and conducts comprehension assessments addressing all areas of language development and use for students enrolled in the Therapeutic Early Child Center Program (Pre-K, School Age, and Head Start Integrated Program). Additionally, this individual is responsible for completing all mandated and related paperwork.

DUTIES

AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Ensure receipt and review of all students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) on caseload.
  • Provide speech therapy in accordance with each child’s IEP, using individual and group formats as well as push‑in and pull‑out models.
  • Verify that a signed prescription is obtained and documented in the Easy Trac Database System prior to initiating services.
  • Maintain compliance with appropriate CPT and ICD coding for accurate documentation and billing.
  • Document all session notes consistently in the Easy Trac Database System and ensure appropriate paperwork is completed, filed, and uploaded to Teams.
  • Complete all required documentation (e.g., progress reports, report cards, rationales) within established timelines.
  • Track and document therapy attendance by signing students in and out of sessions and submitting monthly attendance cards.
  • Prepare prescriptions and weekly session notes in Easy Trac, ensuring accurate coding and timely entry.
  • Communicate regularly with teachers, related service providers, parents, and stakeholders to promote a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.
  • Maintain current licensure, certifications, and malpractice insurance in good standing.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through trainings and continuing education to support caseload needs and maintain licensure.

  • Provide effective therapeutic interventions for young children in speech, language, feeding, and assistive technology.
  • Conduct appropriate assessments in speech, language, and feeding domains for young children.
  • Maintain required productivity levels and comply with all regulatory and program mandates.
  • Demonstrate respect for family confidentiality and cultural diversity

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited university.
  • Experience working with children presenting a wide range of communication disorders.
  • New York State License in Speech Pathology (mandatory).
  • NYC Department of Education Teaching Certificate (TSHH/TSSLD) (mandatory).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • NYSDOH Non‑Billing Medicaid Provider status a plus.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary commensurate with experience. Northside offers a competitive salary and benefits package.

Salary Range $66,000 - $90,000.
