Healthy Steps BHIP

Montefiore Medical Center’s Pediatric Behavioral Health Integration Program (BHIP) is recruiting LMSWs and LCSWs for full-time positions in its Healthy Steps program ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) and Child-Adolescent Psychology and Social Work (CAPS) programs.
Healthy Steps is a mental health promotion program that provides developmental and behavioral support and guidance to families with children aged 0-5 years, through an attachment- and trauma-informed lens. BHIP offers evidence based behavioral health interventions for Montefiore patients across the lifespan.
BHIP places behavioral health clinicians into primary care pediatric clinics across Bronx and Westchester Counties. By partnering with pediatric primary care, we can provide every child and family with services that support social, emotional, and cognitive skills important to healthy development.
Responsibilities- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with a wide range of colleagues.
- Flexibility to work in various capacities on an interdisciplinary team.
- Comfort providing clinical services in nontraditional modalities, including as part of medical visits.
- Ability to work independently.
- Self-reflection about work and professional role.
- Enthusiasm for learning new skills and commitment to professional development.
- Bilingual – Spanish speaking preferred.
- LMSW or LCSW.
- Training and experience with evidence-based behavioral health interventions to children and adolescents of all ages.
- Experience working in a medical setting or with health professionals.
- Experience assessing the growth and development of infants and young children.
- Experience working with parents and families, including assessment of parent-child relationships and family systems.
- Experience/training providing evidence-based behavioral health services.
Hours Monday to Friday 830A – 500P
