SUNY Niagara seeks a part‑time Radiologic Technology Clinic Instructor to teach in clinical areas. Clinical Instructors report to the program and clinical coordinators and provide clinical instruction, supervision and evaluation. Individuals with current clinical proficiency and/or teaching experience are encouraged to apply.
Typical Work Activities- Provide instruction, supervision and evaluation in accordance with program policies and procedures to achieve student learning outcomes.
- Maintain a record of student clinical time.
- Determine and maintain competency evaluations.
- Ensure safe radiation protection practices in accordance with ALARA.
- Participate in program assessment.
- Adhere strictly to the American Society of Radiologic Technologists’ Code of Ethics.
Ability to work with and teach a diverse student population; effective communication with students, co‑workers, supervisors and the campus community; development, preparation and presentation of information; computer operation; compliance with Americans with Disabilities Act provisions; and physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
Required Qualifications- Graduated from an accredited program in radiologic technology.
- Minimum of two years clinic experience in radiologic technology.
- Current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Current licensure from the New York State Department of Health.
Proficiency in supervision, instruction and evaluation, and previous teaching experience at a community college or university.
