Position Summary:
Responsible for the provision of psychological/neuropsychological assessment and interventions for patients and their families on the outpatient services.
- Provides neuropsychologicalassessment as directed by Supervisor of the service.
Provides psychological assessment as directed by Supervisor of the service.
Provides neuropsychological and cognitive interventions,individually or in group, as directed by Supervisor of the service.
Provides psychological andbehavioralinterventions,individually or ingroup, as directed by Supervisor of the service.
Provides psychological interventions to families,individually or in group, as directed by Supervisor of the service.
Ensures that all outpatient clinical services delivered adhereto regulations and standards setby federal, state and city agencies - Demonstrates continued proficiency in skills required to treat assigned patient population.
- In collaboration with the Supervisor of the service, plansand implements patient related programming initiative withinthe service.
- Ensures that all outpatient clinical services delivered bysupervisee adhere to regulations and standards set by federal,state and city agencies.
- Provides supervisory oversight of psychological interventions for families,individually or in group,as directed by the Supervisor ofthe service.
- Provides supervisory oversight psychological behavioral interventions,individually orgroup, as directed by the Supervisor of the service.
- In collaboration with the Coordinator of Psychological Research, plans, develops and implements research activities to advance clinical research of the Department.
- Maintains a high level of professional behavior,Adheres to departmental policies re: attendance and punctuality.
- Provides statistical data as required for clinical service delivered on the inpatient service.
- Functions as resource for other outpatient interdisciplinary team members as directed by the supervisor.
Confers with physicians andother intra-disciplinary staff regarding outpatient care.
Is available to assist outpatient staff and other team members inpatient management - Ensures accuracy in outpatient documentation and billing for psychological services rendered on the service.
Monitors consistency between psychological/neuropsychologicalservices rendered and treatment prescribed.
Ensures that documentation and billing is done in a timely fashion.
Ensures compliance with outpatient quality control is maintained.
Assists the Supervisor in focused outpatient documentation compliance reviews. - In collaboration with the supervisor, assist in planning ,development and implementation of educational programs for the service.
Attends Departmental educational in-services,workshops and professional conferences to maintain and upgrade current knowledge infield. - In collaboration with the Supervisor of the service, plansand implements patient related programming initiative withinthe service.
Assists the Supervisor in clinical interventions to reduce errors ordelay in outpatient service delivery, ensures safe patient discharge and well being of patients. - Provides supervisory oversight of neuropsychologicalassessments as directed by the Supervisor of the service
