Part Time Massage Therapy Technical Assistant
SUNY Niagara has a need for a part-time Massage Therapy Technical Assistant for our Massage Therapy program within our Nursing & Allied Health Division.
The rate of pay is based on education level: $22.52 per hour for a Bachelor's degree or lower; $24.76 per hour for a Master's degree or higher.
Responsibilities- Oversee students in Lab/Clinical courses.
- Ensure clinical areas are safe and clean for both students and faculty.
- Set up, clean, and schedule clinical sessions.
- Assist the coordinator in lab practice and evaluation of students.
- Maintain equipment; inventory of equipment; order and receive laboratory supplies; organize and store supplies.
- Properly dispose of used supplies.
- Assist the coordinator with purchase requisitions.
- Other duties as assigned by AVPAA for NAH.
Must be able to operate computers; must be able to relate to a diverse population of students; must be able to relate to faculty, staff, and senior members of the administration; must be able to communicate verbally and in writing; must be able to prepare written reports and presentations using technology; must be able to physically perform the functions of the position;
must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Associate degree.
- Current NYS licensure as a Massage Therapist.
- One-year experience as licensed Massage Therapist (desirable).
- NYS Massage Therapy License.
Salary: $22.52-$24.76 per hour based on level of education; 12‑month, non‑exempt, part‑time staff position with flexible working hours.
