Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
Pride Health is seeking an experienced Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join the Pathology Department at a major healthcare facility in New York, NY
. This role primarily supports Hematology
, ensuring accurate testing, timely reporting, and compliance with laboratory standards.
- Perform and validate hematology laboratory tests following established protocols.
- Operate and maintain laboratory instruments and ensure quality control accuracy.
- Prepare and analyze specimens, documenting all results precisely.
- Adhere to laboratory safety and infection control standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and lab teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with training as needed.
- Education: Associate’s Degree from an accredited Laboratory Technology program (Bachelor’s preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Licensure: Valid NYSED Clinical Laboratory Technologist License (092) required.
- Preferred: BLS Certification;
Hematology experience strongly preferred. - Availability: Evening and night shifts preferred; open to all shifts.
