Job DescriptionPhysician Assistant (PA-C) in Rockland, ME
(12 hours a week)
Overview
This part‑time (12 hours/week), Physician Assistant (PA-C) role is ideal for a provider who values flexibility while still making a meaningful impact in a mission‑driven outpatient setting. Based in Rockland, ME, you will support patients engaged in substance use disorder (SUD) treatment through a blend of in‑person care and remote follow‑up.
The Impact You Will Make:
- Solid foundation in MAT protocols, OUD treatment, and evidence‑based addiction care
- The ability to build trust quickly and maintain therapeutic rapport with a diverse patient population
- Strong organizational skills and comfort balancing in‑person visits with remote follow‑up care
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to work seamlessly within a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to delivering care grounded in consistency, compassion, and evidence‑based practice
- Patient Exams: Complete admission, readmission, and annual physicals; review labs with patients.
- Medication Management: Issue medication change orders (including verbal orders per state rules) and ensure accurate nursing follow‑through.
- Documentation: Review, complete, and sign required clinical documentation and reports.
- Team Support: Train and support nursing staff to ensure safe, consistent clinical practice.
- Current and active state license as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) in the state of operation.
- Certified in Psychiatry Preferred.
- Active DEA Registration (Schedules II, III
C) with the ability/waiver to prescribe buprenorphine. - Active Medicaid and Medicare credentials.
- Schedule: 10-12 hours a week, 2-3 days a week, early morning hours.
- Pay: Open for discussion, starting at $90 an hour.
