Responsibilities:

As a Physical Therapist, your role will involve evaluating and treating residents to promote lasting health improvements and boost their mobility and quality of life.

• Assess residents’ conditions and create personalized physical rehabilitation plans.
• Enhance residents’ mobility and self-sufficiency.
• Alleviate discomfort through exercises, hands-on therapy, stretching, and physical therapy tools.
• Guide residents on using physical therapy apparatus effectively.
• Supervise therapy tasks, tracking residents’ progress and performance.
• Educate residents on the different stages of their recovery process.
• Oversee physical therapy aides when necessary.
• Maintain a hygienic and safe work area.
• Follow infection-control guidelines and protocols.
• Contribute to a team effort for comprehensive resident care.

Requirements:

• Graduate of a certified Physical Therapy Program.
• Current PT License in New York State.
• Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care environments is preferred.
