Exciting Opportunity at MSK

We are currently seeking overnight Histotechnologists or Histotechnicians to join our Histology team!

Section paraffin and frozen tissue specimens as requested.

Basic histology techniques (e.g., embed, microtomy, process tissue).

Analyze and troubleshoot equipment-related issues.

Maintains vital quality control and assurance records.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field with knowledge of Biology, Chemistry
• NYS Clinical Laboratory Technologist, Technician, or Certified Histology Technician license preferred.
• Eligibility to obtain NYS license required.

• Ability to perform dilutions and laboratory calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong digital literacy including working with databases.
• Problem solver, who can manage complex, high quantity and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.
• Good decision maker, with proven success in making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward.
• Committed and eager to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.

• Schedule:
  
  Monday – Friday, 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM or 1:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 100% onsite
• Location:
  
  Main Hospital Campus, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY
• Reporting to:
  Histology Supervisor
• 10% differential for overnight schedule

• Pay Range: $46.26 - $74.00 FSLA Status:
  Non-Exempt
