Job Description:
The Assistant Director of Care Coordination and Well-Being combines student case management (40-50%), behavioral health and suicide prevention programming, campus training and outreach, CARE Team coordination, and cross-campus/community partnership development to support student well-being, retention, and success.
Key Duties
* Serve as the primary non-clinical case manager for students experiencing personal, behavioral health, mental health, substance use, or other challenges affecting academic success and well-being.
* Coordinate with the CARE Team and campus partners to connect students with campus and community resources and provide ongoing support during crises, hospitalization, medical leave, treatment, and return-to-campus transitions.
* Collaborate with Counseling & Health Services to develop and implement prevention and wellness programs focused on:
* Suicide prevention
* Substance use prevention
* Mental health awareness
* Resilience and stress management
* Healthy relationships and conflict resolution
* Overall student well-being
* Partner with Counseling and Health Services to coordinate campus-wide training and education initiatives, including programs such as QPR and Mental Health First Aid.
* Lead campus mediation and conflict resolution services.
* Support behavioral intervention and threat assessment processes.
* Collect, analyze, and report data related to case management services, student outcomes, and prevention programming.
* Build and maintain partnerships with campus departments and community organizations to strengthen support networks and referral resources.
* Conduct outreach, presentations, workshops, and awareness campaigns promoting help-seeking behaviors and student wellness.
* Provide consultation and guidance to faculty, staff, and others supporting students of concern.
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree
* Two or more years of experience in Human Services, Education or Community Initiatives
* Demonstrated cultural competency and cultural humility, including the ability to build trust and rapport with students across race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status, disability, religion, national origin, and other dimensions of identity.
* Demonstrated experience working effectively with diverse student populations and historically marginalized or underrepresented communities.
* Commitment to equity-minded, inclusive, and identity-conscious practice in case management, prevention, and crisis response.
Preferred Experience
* MSW or related degree
* Behavioral intervention, case management, or crisis response
* Suicide prevention, mental health, and substance misuse prevention
* Conflict resolution, motivational interviewing, and trauma-informed practices
* Culturally responsive programming and supporting diverse student populations
