This opportunity is available at our program located on146th St in Springfield Gardens, NY.
The
Shift Supervisor
will monitor and ensure that active treatment is provided to individuals with developmental disabilities ensuring consumer safety and respect of consumer rights.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and instruct all Direct Support Professionals on shift
- Responsible for overall functioning of the facility during the absence of the Program Director and Assistant Program Director
- Responsible for the physical condition of the residence including agency vehicles; ensuring they are maintained in a safe and sanitary condition
- Responsible for client and agency funds and expenditures during shift (petty cash, client monies, clothing monies, recreation etc.)
- Ensure appropriate follow-up to medication administration during shifts and after client medical appointments

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma or approved equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in Intellectual Disabilities/IDD or related field
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- SCIP-R, CPR & First Aid – Required
- AMAP Certification – Required
