Greet patients in person or via telephone and update insurance/demographics in the practice management system;
Verify insurance prior to arrival or at time of visit and ensure physician accepts presented insurance;
Communicate patient arrival status to appropriate staff and prepare patient medical records for physicians;
Process HIPAA-related paperwork and other institutional forms as necessary;
Collect co-pays and provide receipts following cash-control procedures
