We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Neuro Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will support neurological diagnostic testing and clinical services for patients in skilled nursing and long-term care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with clinicians while contributing to accurate diagnoses and improved neurological outcomes for a geriatric population.
Responsibilities- Prepare patients for neurological diagnostic procedures, including EEGs and other neurodiagnostic tests
- Perform neurodiagnostic testing in accordance with established protocols and safety standards
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any significant findings or concerns to the supervising clinician
- Ensure proper setup, calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of neurodiagnostic equipment
- Accurately document test results, observations, and patient responses in the medical record
- Maintain compliance with infection control, HIPAA, and facility policies
- Provide clear explanations and reassurance to patients to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and nursing staff to support high-quality patient care
- Travel to partner skilled nursing and long-term care facilities as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or formal neurodiagnostic training preferred
- Certification as an EEG or Neurodiagnostic Technician (R.EEG T., CNIM, or equivalent) preferred
- Prior experience in neurodiagnostic testing strongly preferred
- Experience working in skilled nursing or long-term care settings is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow clinical protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working with the geriatric population
- Ability to travel to multiple facilities as needed
