, a premier provider of specialized education and therapy services for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in supporting our students in achieving their full potential for independence, productivity, and inclusion in the community.
About the Role:
As a DSP, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide direct support to our students, including:
Schedule: 3.5 hours (community habilitation services) from Monday-Thursday, any time of the day, preferably around 12pm, Friday and Saturday 3 hours a day (respite services) Anytime of day.
- Daily Living
Skills:
Assisting with personal care, meal planning, and other daily living activities to promote independence and self-advocacy. - Behavioral Supports:
Implementing behavioral interventions and strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors. - Therapy Assistance:
Providing support to our therapists in delivering ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy services. - Communication:
Facilitating communication between staff, students, and families to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each student s needs and goals.
- Provide direct support to students with autism, including daily living skills, behavioral supports, and therapy assistance.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs).
- Communicate effectively with staff members, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions and support.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
