Full-Time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

This position requires availability for a rotating day/evening shift schedule, including five 7.5-hour shifts per week, with every other weekend and holiday required.

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide support to residents in a long-term care setting by assisting with daily living needs, ensuring safety, and maintaining the dignity of all residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living needs, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and skin care per care plan.
• Maintain resident safety by responding to call lights, utilizing safety equipment, and preventing falls.
• Support residents during meals by delivering trays, assisting with feeding, and honoring food preferences.
• Assist with mobility and rehabilitation needs, including range of motion exercises, transfers, and proper positioning.
• Take and record vital signs and measurements, including temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure, and weight.
• Assist with admission, transfer, and discharge of residents, as well as addressing residents' social and emotional needs.
• Maintain confidentiality and respect residents' rights at all times.
• Promptly report any resident concerns or changes to the nurse and complete required documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current New York State Nursing Assistant Certification.
• Minimum of one year of experience as a licensed CNA in a long-term care setting.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or RQI.
