Day Hab Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Location:
Brooklyn, NY
Schedule:
Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM Pay: $18.00–$23.00 per hour
HASC Center is seeking caring and enthusiastic individuals to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our Day Hab program. As a Day Hab DSP, you’ll help individuals build independence, develop life skills, and engage with the community in a safe, meaningful way.
Responsibilities- Assist with daily living skills and personal care as needed
- Support individuals in group activities and community outings
- Encourage socialization, communication, and independence
- Follow individualized plans and behavior supports
- Document progress using electronic records
- Maintain a positive and respectful environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience with I/DD preferred but not required
- Basic computer and communication skills
- Must be able to assist with mobility (e.g., pushing wheelchairs)
- Driver’s license may be required for some roles
- TB test required
