Position Overview
Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Per Diem to join our team in Nanuet, NY. This is a casual/per diem position with hours varying from Monday through Friday 7:00am–3:00pm and rotating Saturdays 7:00am–11:00am. The role may involve travel to additional sites as needed.
Job Responsibilities- Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
- Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry of patient information.
- Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
- Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
- Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
- Provide superior customer service to all patients.
- Complete administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Phlebotomy certification or completion of a training program, or at least three (3) months of experience as a phlebotomist.
- Six (6) months or more of phlebotomy experience.
- Phlebotomy certification or completed training program must come from an accredited agency.
- Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
- Reliable transportation.
- Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
- Ability to pass a standardized color‑blindness test.
$17.75 – $27.00 per hour. All job offers are based on a candidate’s skills, relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, internal equity, and market data. Phlebotomists may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
BenefitsEmployees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled for fewer than 20 hours, casual, intern, and temporary workers are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan. Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule receive all benefits except PTO or FTO.
