Caregiver - Nassau County Job Summary

At Comfort Touch Health Agency, we are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to join our team in Nassau County, New York. As a Caregiver with our agency, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors across Long Island. Our Caregivers provide emotional support, light physical assistance, and a comforting presence that helps aging adults maintain independence and dignity in the comfort of their own homes.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors in their homes, including conversation, light reading, and other activities
• Assist with daily tasks, as needed
• Help with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and laundry, as needed
• Monitor and report any changes in clients' conditions, including signs of cognitive decline or other health concerns
• Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure clients receive comprehensive care
• Maintain a safe and clean living environment for clients
• Demonstrate respect, empathy, and understanding when working with clients and their families

• Caregiver certification or completion of a caregiving training program

• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Ability to lift, bend, and walk, with or without reasonable accommodations
• Pass a background check and provide professional references
