Overview
Provides physical therapy interventions under supervision, assisting in monitoring patient progress and documenting care in accordance with policies. Works within the PTA scope of practice, modifying treatments as directed by the PT, and participates in team meetings and training. Travels to patients' homes or facilities, assisting with therapeutic activities, transfers, and use of medical equipment. Ensures care aligns with professional standards and agency policies, using necessary technology and supplies.
Qualifications- NY State Certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (required)
- Associate’s Degree from an approved program (required)
- Minimum two years of clinical patient care experience (required)
- Valid driver’s license may be required
- Bilingual skills and basic PC skills may be preferred
