We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Per Diem Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (FGP) - Manhattan, Float. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for ensuring and coordinating delivery of prescribed pulmonary function testing services through direct performance of laboratory studies and supervision of pulmonary function laboratory staff.

• Performs Pulmonary Function Testing, including FVL, FVC, Lung Volumes, DLCO, MVV as required. Checks and validates physician orders for testing procedures.
• Performs Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing.
• Maintains testing equipment and generates appropriate documentation to permit interpretation of Pulmonary Function tests.
• Performs Methacholine Challenges and efficiently schedules patients. Reviews schedule with Pharmacy to ensure optimal utilization of Provocation agents.

• Associate's Degree or equivalent in respiratory care as recognized by the New York State Board for Respiratory Therapy, required.
• New York State Registered Respiratory Therapist license or Respiratory Therapist Technician license, certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT), with CPFT specialty credential within a year of hire, required.
• Computer competency, including basic understanding of, and ability to work with, Microsoft Windows based pulmonary function software programs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Cert Pulmon Func Tech (CPFT), Respiratory Therapy Tech-NYS, Resp Therapist License-NYS, National Respiratory Therapy Registry.

Salary:
The salary range for the role is $64.46 - $65.00 per hour. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. This range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
