- Perform high-quality breast ultrasound examinations, ensuring optimal image acquisition and diagnostic accuracy.
- Explain procedures to patients, answer questions, and provide compassionate care throughout the exam.
- Review prior imaging studies and reports before each examination to ensure comprehensive evaluation.
- Assess image quality and recognize relevant findings to assist the interpreting Radiologist.
- Present images and preliminary observations to the Radiologist and healthcare team.
- Collaborate closely with Mammographers and Radiologists to obtain all necessary diagnostic information.
- Accurately document examinations and maintain complete patient records within the electronic medical record.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment while ensuring examination rooms meet cleanliness and infection-control standards.
- Utilize PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging software efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain the highest standards of patient safety, professionalism, and quality care.
- ARDMS Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS).
- Minimum of two years of breast ultrasound experience.
- Experience with ob/gyn ultrasound a plus!
- Strong understanding of breast anatomy, physiology, ultrasound physics, and instrumentation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
- Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking, and organizational skills.
- Experience working with PACS, RIS, EMR, and other imaging information systems.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced clinical environment.
