Front Desk Specialist Part Time Evenings

What you’ll do:

Responsibilities/Duties:

Provide excellent customer service to patients and direct them to appropriate departments when necessary.

Manage patient check-ins and check-outs, ensuring accurate data entry.

Collect and verify patient insurance details, confirm eligibility and process any co-pays and payments at time of service.

Educate patients on insurance benefits, including in-network vs. out-of-network coverage.

Ensure that necessary forms are completed and on file (i.e. Insurance forms, insurance referrals, authorizations and/or waivers).Schedule follow up appointments, document cancelled or rescheduled appointments.

Submit daily payment collection reports.

Manage record requests and releases in collaboration with Medical Records Department.

Open and close office.

Maintain a professional and respectful work environment through positive interactions with patients, physicians, and colleagues.

All other duties as assigned.

Who you are:

Qualifications:

Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance processes, workers compensation, no fault and HIPPA regulations preferred.

Experience working in a clinical setting preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Proficiency in using electronic health records systems, Mod Med a plus and general office software (Microsoft Suite, Teams, Outlook)
Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced environment.

High school diploma or equivalent required.
