- Flex Position Overview
Assemble and deliver patient meals, use a dish machine to wash dishes, collect and deliver nutrition supplies to hospital units. Aides may also work in retail food outlets, preparing and serving food to employees, guests, and visitors. Payment processing and cash handling are required in retail locations. All employees may assist with catering functions as needed. Work collaboratively to provide exceptional food and service to all patients, visitors, guests, and employees while meeting all regulatory requirements put forth by local, state, and federal agencies.
Responsibilities- Assemble patient meals using proper portion control and being aware of allergens
- Use dish machine for properly washing and sanitizing dishes and utensils
- Ensure patient/family satisfaction through excellent customer service and quality meal production
- Manage nutritional supplies on units
- Maintain a clean facility throughout service
- Maintain departmental policies and procedures of clinical care in accordance with regulatory agencies
- Effectively communicate and demonstrate team-based management
- Be flexible in assuming other appropriate responsibilities not noted above
- Education – High School Diploma or GED, or appropriate working papers for minors
- Experience – Not required
- Licensure – Not required
- 1+ years' experience in food service or a healthcare environment
- Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling, and reaching. May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold. Primary work location may include loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, exposure to sharp objects. A licensed ability to drive may be necessary.

- $17.00 - 20.00 per hour
