Job Summary:

The cardiac catheterization laboratory technologist in New York is responsible for monitoring patient blood pressures, interpreting intracardiac pressures, and maintaining detailed records during procedures. This professional assists with equipment calibration and operation, supplies necessary tools to physicians, and ensures data accuracy. The role also involves setting up and fine-tuning specialized equipment, assisting in emergency resuscitation efforts, and preparing the sterile environment for each patient procedure.

Job Details:

• Schedule:
  
  11.5 hours shift, 3 days per week, from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM, with a minimum of 34.5 hours per week
• Certifications &
  
  Education:
  
  High School Diploma or GED, RCIS certification preferred; at least 1 year of relevant experience required
• Skills & Experience:
  
  RCIS certification, excellent organizational skills, and familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures and equipment
• Responsibilities include setting up equipment such as intra-aortic balloon pumps, assisting with cardiac catheterizations, operating power injectors, and participating in emergency resuscitation measures
• The technologist will operate and maintain specialized cardiac lab equipment, replenish supplies, and ensure compliance with procedural standards
• The role requires adaptability to learn new technologies and procedures as introduced in the cardiac catheterization lab
