The Staff Nurse will provide professional nursing care to assigned patients.

• Assesses patients, develops, and documents nursing care and discharge plans, and prepares and administers medications and interventions.
• Directspatient care technician sand ancillary staff in patient care activities.
• Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the care of the patient in the Invasive Cardiology Department EP Lab/Cardiac Cath Lab. Assesses, prepares, monitors, and treats patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures.

SCHEDULE: 11 AM- 11:30 PM. Days vary.

• New York State License for Registered Professional Nurse and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State as an R.N.
• BSN Degree, preferred.
• Critical care experience required.
• Cath/EPlab experience, preferred.
• CCRN preferred.
• BLS and ACLS are required.
• Infection Control Training, Certification in specialty preferred.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.
• Mandatory on-call.
