The 32BJ Dental Center is growing, and we’re excited to announce the expansion of our Dental Center. We’re currently hiring for patient-driven Dental Central Sterilization Technicians (CST) to join our team. We offer:

The CST provides full support to the successful operations of the Dental Center utilizing the appropriate standards for the maintenance and sterilization of all instruments utilized in the care and treatment of Dental Center patients. Possesses full knowledge and experience regarding the operations of all sterilization equipment and instrument procedure case system.
Responsibilities- Decontaminates and sterilizes instruments and dental supplies following proper sterilization standards.
- Assemble, sterilize, wrap and seal trays of instruments following proper sterilization standards.
- Monitors biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure quality and consistency for decontamination of instruments and equipment.
- Sort and categorize instruments according to procedures assuring that instrument trays are correct and complete.
- Maintain proper storage of instruments displaying sterilization wrapping dates and making sure that all trays available for use are within timeframe standards.
- Assist with the ordering, replacement and inventory control of all instruments, supplies and materials to meet the correct levels and standards.
- Maintain biomedical inspection review and reports up to date, display all bio-hazard inspection stickers as required.
- Provide weekly review of sterilization equipment, review calibrations assuring equipment is in full compliance and working standards.
- Maintain log and tagging systems ensuring proper tracking and that all instruments are returned to the correct storage area.
- Perform and log BD and Spore testing as necessary, report failures immediately and collect all instruments that were processed during failed cycles.
HS Diploma, successfully completed Central Sterile Service Program and provide certificate accredited by the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Material Management (IAHCSMM)

Language SkillsAbility to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
