We're seeking a Licensed Pharmacist for a contract opportunity in Long Island City, NY

Location: Long Island City, NY

Local Pay and travel pay available: ($75 - $85/hr range)

Contract Duration:
08/10/2026 – 12/31/2026

• 37.5 hours/week (7.5 hours/day)
• Initial training: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Following training, rotating shifts with advance notice:
• 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
• 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Under general supervision, the Pharmacist will provide appropriate drug therapy to adult and pediatric patients by reviewing physician orders, accurately entering orders into the computer system, monitoring medication therapy, recommending medication adjustments, and compounding and dispensing medications safely and accurately. The Pharmacist will also supervise pharmacy technicians and serve as a drug information resource for healthcare professionals and patients.

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited school.
• Active Pharmacist License in the state of practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer proficiency.

• Review and verify physician medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Monitor patient drug therapy and recommend medication adjustments.
• Review patient diagnoses, medication history, allergies, laboratory results, and treatment plans.
• Identify and resolve omissions, discrepancies, and therapeutic duplications.
• Accurately enter medication orders into the patient profile.
• Compound and dispense medications safely and accurately.
• Document clinical interventions and monitor medication outcomes.
• Participate in research initiatives, investigational drug protocols, and quality improvement activities as needed.
• Supervise pharmacy technicians and provide drug information to healthcare professionals and patients.
