TAG Med Staffing is hiring a CT Scan Technologist (Part-Time) in New York, NY for our client. This temp-to-perm opportunity supports a specialty outpatient practice by performing high-quality CT imaging examinations while maintaining patient safety and efficient clinical workflows. The CT Scan Technologist will prepare and position patients, operate imaging equipment, review image quality, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. The ideal candidate is an ARRT-certified Radiologic Technologist with strong CT imaging knowledge, attention to detail, and a patient-focused approach.
Responsibilitiesas the CT Scan Technologist:
- CT Imaging: Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to physician orders, imaging protocols, and established clinical standards.
- Patient Care: Prepare and position patients for imaging procedures while promoting comfort, safety, and clear communication.
- Image Quality: Operate CT equipment, adjust imaging parameters, and review images to ensure diagnostic quality.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient, examination, and imaging documentation within clinical systems.
- Quality Assurance: Perform routine equipment checks and support quality assurance and imaging department procedures.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow radiation safety, ALARA, infection control, patient confidentiality, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program is required.
- Certification: ARRT (R) certification is required, with CT certification preferred.
- Licensure: Active state licensure is required where applicable.
- Clinical Knowledge: Strong knowledge of CT imaging, anatomy, patient positioning, image quality, and radiation safety is required.
- Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with CT imaging equipment, PACS, EMR systems, and related clinical technology is required. - Skills & Attributes: Strong patient care, communication, organization, and attention to detail are required, with the ability to work effectively both independent and [collaboratively.]
