Summary- This position involves providing direct counseling services in an outpatient setting under the supervision of a Clinical Supervisor.
- Located in Astoria, NY, this is a full-time role that requires a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) to work closely with patients to develop their social, cognitive, and behavioral skills.
- Provide individual counseling and develop treatment/recovery plans.
- Facilitate therapeutic interactions to enhance patient skill development.
- Implement psychosocial interventions to manage urges and cognitive distortions.
- Conduct individual, group, and family counseling sessions.
- Maintain accurate and thorough case records.
- Establish and maintain relationships with patient referral agencies.
- Complete utilization reviews to ensure continuity of care.
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
Bachelor's Degree a plus. - Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC) in good standing.
- Minimum of two years experience in a behavioral health/substance use disorder treatment program.
