Job Description
The Department of Clinical Laboratories at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time Clinical Lab Technologist / TH Clinical Laboratory Technologist 3. The successful candidate will:
- Perform clinical laboratory procedures and examinations, and any other tests or procedures conducted by the Chemistry and Hematology Laboratories.
- Have working knowledge of routine instrumentation and methodology used in Clinical Hematology and Chemistry:
- Specific familiarization with Blood Gases, Olympus, and Architect instruments preferred
- Have good knowledge of quality control, maintenance, and troubleshooting on Chemistry and Hematology methodologies and instruments.
- Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration to perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as needed and/or required.
- Bachelor of Science Degree or equivalent in Medical Technology, Physical, or Biological Science.
- New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist Licensure.
- ASCP certification
