Little Masters Development Center is seeking qualified and compassionate Psychological Evaluator to join our Early Intervention team at out Flushing center.
The evaluator will conduct psychological and developmental evaluations for infants and toddlers who may be experiencing developmental delays, disabilities, behavioral concerns, or other developmental challenges.
This position is ideal for a licensed psychologist who enjoys working with young children and families and is comfortable conducting comprehensive evaluations, interpreting assessment results, preparing reports, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Conduct psychological and developmental evaluations for children birth to 3 years of age.
- Conduct caregiver interviews and obtain relevant developmental, medical, behavioral, and family history.
- Administer and interpret appropriate standardized psychological and developmental assessment measures.
- Observe children and assess areas of functioning including cognitive, social-emotional, behavioral, and adaptive development.
- Identify developmental concerns, strengths, and areas requiring additional support.
- Prepare accurate, thorough, and timely evaluation reports.
- Provide clear and understandable feedback to parents and caregivers regarding evaluation results and recommendations.
- Develop recommendations that are appropriate to the child's developmental needs and family priorities.
- Collaborate with Early Intervention service coordinators and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
- Participate in multidisciplinary evaluations and meetings as needed.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and comply with applicable Early Intervention requirements.
- Maintain confidentiality and follow all professional, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Doctoral degree in Psychology (Ph.D., Psy.D., or Ed.D.) from an accredited or otherwise appropriately recognized program.
- Current New York State Licensed Psychologist (L.P.) in good standing.
- Must meet applicable New York State Early Intervention Program requirements for qualified personnel and be eligible to provide Early Intervention evaluation services.
- Experience conducting psychological, developmental, or behavioral evaluations.
- Strong knowledge of child development and developmental disabilities.
- Excellent clinical assessment, report-writing, and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate assessment findings and recommendations effectively with parents and caregivers.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Previous experience working with infants and toddlers (birth-3).
- Previous experience conducting Early Intervention evaluations.
- Experience working with children with developmental delays, autism, or other developmental disabilities.
- Familiarity with standardized developmental, cognitive, behavioral, and adaptive assessment tools.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary pediatric or Early Intervention setting.
- Bilingual or multilingual skills are a plus.
