Provides direct patient care services such as assisting patients during activities of daily living such as eating, bathing, ambulating, and eliminating. Obtains and documents vital signs and specimens as required.

• The Nursing Attendant is a member of a team dedicated to providing the highest quality care and services to our patients by assisting in such functions as maintaining a safe, clean and functional environment; assisting with dietary aspects of care; facilitating communication, i.e., answering phones; transporting patients and assisting visitors.
• As an integral part of the team, the Nursing Attendant is responsible for activities, which promote patient-focused care within the Patient Unit.

• High School Graduate or equivalent with vocational/technical training preferred.
• Effective English communication skills, both written and oral.
• Graduate of State Certified Program or 1-year clinical experience as a nursing student/foreign graduate nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
