Location: Craigs

We are seeking a skilled Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT Therapist) to join the Highland Eating Disorder Service on a full‑time basis (36 hours per week). This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a specialist, multidisciplinary team delivering high‑quality, evidence‑based care to individuals experiencing eating disorders across the Highland region.

Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist CBT interventions for individuals with eating disorders, including CBT‑E and related approaches
  • Undertake comprehensive psychological assessments, risk assessments, and formulation of complex cases
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatry, dietetics, nursing, and support staff
  • Offer consultation, supervision, and support to colleagues and partner services
  • Contribute to service development, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Experience
  • Holds a recognised CBT qualification (BABCP‑accredited or accreditable)
  • Has significant post‑qualification experience delivering CBT in a clinical setting
  • Has experience working with eating disorders or complex mental health presentations
  • Demonstrates strong risk assessment and clinical decision‑making skills
  • Is able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Is committed to continuous professional development and evidence‑based practice
