We are seeking a skilled General Ultrasound Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have experience performing a wide range of diagnostic ultrasound examinations while providing exceptional patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including Abdominal, Small Parts, Pelvic, OB/GYN, Vascular (if applicable), and Soft Tissue studies.
- Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the examination process and ensuring patient comfort.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
- Recognize normal and abnormal sonographic findings and provide accurate documentation for physician interpretation.
- Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to support timely diagnosis and treatment.
- Ensure compliance with departmental protocols, infection control standards, and patient safety guidelines.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Participate in quality assurance initiatives and maintain equipment performance standards.
- Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
- ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification required.
- Active state license (if applicable).
- Minimum 1–2 years of General Ultrasound experience in a hospital or outpatient setting.
- Current BLS (AHA) certification.
- Experience with Epic or other EMR systems
. - Strong knowledge of abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, and small parts ultrasound.
- Excellent communication, patient care, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
