Position Summary

Ultrasound Technologist (FGP) – OB/GYN (MFM)

• Interact with patients, identify themselves, verify patient identity using  or verbal acknowledgement, explain procedure, provide privacy.
• Perform ultrasound procedures, operate computerized equipment, record data, utilize patient chart for history.
• Alert medical staff of abnormalities requiring immediate attention, compare present echocardiograms to prior studies.
• Use judgment to determine if study sufficient for diagnosis; request additional imaging if needed.
• Operate advanced equipment to produce scans and conduct procedures.
• Write reports based on completed scans, document and record patient data, maintain departmental records.

Registered American Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in OBGYN. Nuchal translucency certification (NTQR/FMF) required within 3 months of hire. Completion of an approved ultrasound technology educational program. College graduate preferred.

Nuchal Translucency Cert, A.R.D.M.S.

2 years of MFM experience.
