Anesthesia Tech III – NYU Langone Health, New York, NY (Full‑time)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Anesthesia Tech III. This role involves stocking anesthetic supplies for operating rooms, maintaining anesthetic equipment, ensuring equipment availability, and assisting clinicians with patient care.
Job Responsibilities- Assist during induction, maintenance, and emergence from anesthesia
- Support placement of regional anesthetics and invasive monitoring devices
- Assist with pain blocks, epidurals, spinals, line placement, and patient positioning
- Assist with patient transport
- Follow directives and protocols
- Communicate with circulating nurses
- Respond to codes in line with duties
- Calibrate and run quality control and quality assurance analysis
- Calibrate and troubleshoot anesthesia machines
- Set up Level I RIS, syringe pumps, capnographs, TEG and TEEs
- Set up intravenous, central venous, arterial, pulmonary artery catheters and related equipment using sterile techniques
- Clear debris and equipment from the surface and drawers of used anesthesia machines
- Ensure sterility and cleanliness of all machines
- Perform all standard procedural checks on equipment
- Assist with troubleshooting technical problems
- Make minor repairs and adjustments to equipment
- Inform engineering and supervisor of needed repairs
- Check machine drawers to ensure they are well stocked
- Make available fluids such as Lactated Ringers, Plasma Lite, Normal Saline, Hespan, Flextend, FFP, Whole Blood, and Albumin
- Disposal of supplies used in regular and contaminated cases
- Ensure medical pipeline is operational, including N2O, O2, and medical air
- Check status of nitrous oxide, nitrogen, and carbon dioxide cylinder banks to determine available supply pressure
- Assist with training of anesthesia technicians
- Report performance of anesthesia technicians to supervisor
- Ensure workroom areas are clean and orderly before, during, and after each shift
- Perform other related duties as requested
Graduate of a one‑year anesthesia technician program or certified from an anesthesia technology program with 5 years of experience. Must be able to read, write, and follow instructions. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS‑C) required. Able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs. Basic computer skills.
Required LicensesBasic Life Support certification
Preferred QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferred. Experience in staff development and training preferred.

SalarySalary range: $83,725.61 – $83,725.61 annually. Actual salaries depend on experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The stated range does not include bonuses, incentive pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
