Activities Assistant Memory Care

Brightview Senior Living is seeking an Activities Assistant for our Memory Care neighborhood. In this role, you'll help plan and lead meaningful, person-centered programs that support residents' cognitive, social, and physical wellness. You will assist residents one-on-one and in small groups, adapting activities to individual abilities and preferences. Responsibilities include preparing materials, escorting residents, monitoring engagement and safety, and documenting participation.

You'll collaborate closely with nursing and care teams, families, and volunteers to create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating environment that reflects Brightview's resident-first culture.

Responsibilities

• Plan and lead group and one-on-one activities tailored to memory care residents
• Support residents' social, cognitive, and physical engagement through structured programs
• Prepare activity spaces and materials, ensuring a safe, welcoming environment
• Escort and assist residents to and from programs and community events
• Adapt activities to individual abilities, preferences, and care plans
• Observe resident participation and document attendance and responses
• Collaborate with nursing, care teams, and families to support resident well-being
• Assist with special events, holidays, and intergenerational or community programs
• Follow safety, infection control, and dementia care best practices
• Contribute to a resident-first, compassionate, team-oriented culture
