Psychiatrist

• Provide direct patient care in outpatient and nursing home facilities
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team at Essen
• Assess patients referred by Primary Care Providers using evidence-based assessment tools
• Treat behavioral health conditions using evidence-based approaches, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, crisis intervention, Interpersonal Psychotherapy, and behavioral activation
• Make treatment recommendations
• Refer patients to a Psychiatrist as deemed appropriate
• Monitor client treatment through clinical documentation review and coordination of care with other health providers and health homes
• Provide crisis intervention services and risk assessments as needed
• Engage clients with limited behavioral health service utilization through outreach efforts
• Document services in a timely fashion

• Doctoral Degree in clinical or counseling Psychiatrist (Ph.D./PsyD)
• Current NYS registration as a Psychologist environment
• Bilingual (Spanish / English) is a plus but not a requirement
• Must be able to work 25+ hours a week

Demonstrates expertise in providing direct patient care and conducting assessments for behavioral health conditions, utilizing evidence-based approaches such as CBT and Motivational Interviewing. Capable of collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and managing clinical documentation effectively.
