Health is seeking a travel nurse RN Ambulatory Surgery for a travel nursing job in Cooperstown, New York.

Responsibilities include:

 Pre-operative patient assessment and preparation
 Admission and discharge processes
 Post-anesthesia recovery care
 Recovery of patients following moderate sedation procedures
 PACU support and assisting as needed within the perioperative environment
 Patient and family education

Note:

The department does not administer moderate sedation but does recover patients
following moderate sedation procedures.
Required Experience
Candidates should have:
 Recent Pre-Op and/or PACU experience
 Strong admission and discharge experience
 Experience caring for both adult and pediatric patients
 Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment with varied specialties
Certifications Required
 BLS
 ACLS
 PALS
Department Operations
 ASU operational hours: 5:00 AM – 8:30 PM, Monday–Friday
 Surgical services support a 24/7 hospital operation
 Weekend and holiday call coverage required
Scheduling
StaƯ rotate through a variety of shifts including:
 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
 8:00 AM – 8:30 PM
Call Requirements
Required call rotation includes:
 Two 12-hour weekend call shifts every 8 weeks
 Call shift options:
o 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
o 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
 Holiday call rotation as assigned
