Under direction of the Director of Ambulatory Care Services, assists in the coordination and evaluation of the activities, projects and programs of the Office of Ambulatory Care Services. Participates in implementation and monitoring the NYC Health + Hospitals ambulatory care policy. Provides consultation and technical assistance to NYC Health + Hospitals facilities in program development, monitoring and evaluation. Assists in the coordination of activities of the System’s ambulatory programs, including outpatient departments, emergency rooms, diagnostic and treatment centers and home health services, where appropriate, in order to maintain the System’s goals and objectives of providing optimal ambulatory care services.

Participates in policy development and program implementation for the delivery of ambulatory care services. Participates in establishing standards for the delivery of ambulatory care services. Coordinates ambulatory care work group on standards and indicators. Reviews, analyzes, monitors and assesses the progress of the System’s health care facilities in attaining the System’s goals, standards and priorities set for the ambulatory care systems.

Assists the Director in preparation of personnel, supply and equipment budgets for ambulatory care. Participates in an ongoing system of evaluation of ambulatory care services.
