Position Summary:

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Technician.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated research technician to join our effort to understand human vaccine immunology.

Vaccines are a critical element of preventative health, but modern vaccines often fall short of ideal. We still lack robust vaccines for HIV, malaria, or even the common cold, and even among clinically-approved vaccines, an estimated 5-10% of all vaccinations fail to induce the desired protective antibody response. Our group studies immune responses to vaccines, infections, and transplantation, to determine how key cell types, such as CD4 T cells and B cells, work together.

To do this, we employ high-resolution immunology methods, including single cell RNAseq, flow cytometry, and immunofluorescence, combined with bioinformatics and data science approaches, to study how T and B cells interact in different scenarios. The goal of the research is to understand the factors that lead to functional, or dysfunctional, immune responses.
