Phlebotomist

Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist role in Mount Kisco, NY location to support our client in a healthcare setting. This is a temporary assignment opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!

Mount Kisco, NY

Schedule:

Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–6:00 PM; rotational Saturdays, 8:00 AM–1:00 PM Interview Process:
In-person interview with the direct supervisor Pay: $21 to $23/ hr on W2

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform venipuncture and blood collection procedures for patients across all age groups, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations.
  • Verify patient identifiers and ensure accurate specimen labeling and barcoding.
  • Process laboratory specimens according to established protocols, including:
    • Centrifuging samples
    • Pouring off specimens when required
    • Accessioning laboratory samples
    • Creating packing lists
    • Packaging specimens for shipment to reference laboratories at appropriate temperatures
  • Maintain compliance with all laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and all PPE and safety guidelines.
  • Provide professional and compassionate patient care during specimen collection.
  • Support laboratory operations and assist with coverage at local draw stations when needed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and ensure specimen integrity throughout the testing process. Required Qualifications
  • Previous phlebotomy experience in a clinical, laboratory, or outpatient setting.
  • Ability to draw blood from pediatric through geriatric patient populations.
  • Knowledge of specimen handling, processing, and laboratory safety procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications
  • Phlebotomy Certification (preferred).
  • Experience performing blood draws across all age groups.
  • Familiarity with laboratory accessioning systems and reference laboratory procedures.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally to local draw stations for staffing coverage.
