Groundwork Therapy was founded in 2018 and serves individuals and couples living and working in Central Brooklyn. We are a team of licensed psychologists, postdoctoral psychologist, LMSWs, and LCSWs. Our client population consists largely of individuals in their 30's and 40's, including professionals in tech, education, law, and the arts, as well as new parents, couples planning to be married, and couples considering separation.

We are actively looking for a LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT to join our staff in September.
Staff Therapist's Duties:- Hold 20-25 45-minute therapy sessions a week (individual and/or couples).
- Complete a simple session note following each appointment.
- Attend weekly group supervision with the entire staff.
- Attend weekly individual supervision.

The best fit for this position is a therapist who:- Works from a contemporary psychodynamic, relational/interpersonal orientation.
- Uses a sexuality and gender affirmative therapy approach.
- Has experience and/or interest in working clients who are members of the LGBTQI+ communities.
- Is flexible and active in practice, adept at meeting each client according to their individual needs and capabilities.
- Has experience and/or interest in couples/relationship therapy.
- Enjoys long‑term relationships with clients and depth‑oriented therapy.
- LMSW, LCSW, LMFT, MHC-LP or LMHC
- Psychodynamic relational/interpersonal orientation and case conceptualization (integrative in interventions)
- Availability evenings until 9PM Monday through Thursday (most of our clients request evening appointments)
- Must work in-person Monday through Friday
- Pay starts at $65 per clinical hour for a LMSW/MHC‑LP and $100 per hour for LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT. This is an employment (W-2) position paid according to clinical services rendered.
- Up to 40 hours per year of paid time off (accrued)
- $250 per year provided for CE credits
